Polonyna Shuvarenko

Shuvarenko Polonyna is a high mountain meadow in the Ukrainian Carpathians, located in Ivano-Frankivsk region near the city of Yaremche. Its height is about 1184 meters above sea level. Shuvarenko's meadow is famous for its clean springs, picturesque landscapes and rich flora and fauna. A large number of mountain flowers, berry bushes and herbaceous plants can be found in the meadow. Also, Shuvarenko meadow is known for its windy and cold climate, so it is recommended to bring warm clothes and shoes, even in summer. Shuvarenka meadow is a popular destination for tourists and outdoor enthusiasts. There are many mountain trails and routes for hiking, climbing, cycling and skiing in the meadow in winter. In winter, the meadow turns into a huge snow-white blanket. In the spring, when the snow melts, the meadow is full of flowers and aromas. The meadow offers a magnificent view of the Gorgan ranges. It is easy to breathe here. And there is a ringing silence around. Shuvarenko's meadow is a place for rest and reflection. Most routes are designed so that you get to the meadow late in the evening. Therefore, every tourist can enjoy another miracle of the Carpathians - the clear starry sky. The stars here seem especially bright and close.

A house for rest on a meadow

A small wooden house is equipped for tourists in the meadow. So you do not have to sleep outside in a sleeping bag.

In the house there are:

• water,
• beds,
• dishes,
• stove,
• food supplies, etc.

As a rule, participants of excursion hikes stay in the lodge. Depending on the season, you can enjoy berries and mushrooms in the meadow. There is a spring with drinking water not far from the house.

How to get to the meadow

It is best to go to the meadow as part of a tourist group. Most routes through the Shuravenko meadow start in Ivano-Frankivsk. You can also drive to Nadvirna and then go on foot.
