Probiy Waterfall is located in the heart of the Carpathian Mountains, in the city of Yaremche. This natural attraction is one of the most beautiful in Ukraine.

Probiy is a cascading waterfall in the Ukrainian Carpathians, on the Prut River. The waters of the Prut fall down from a height of 8 meters. Most of the Carpathian waterfalls can be seen only from river valleys, but Probiy can be seen from all possible angles. For example, you can go down to the waterfall itself from the fairgrounds.

But be careful! Don't be tempted to climb on the river boulders: a mere curiosity or desire to get a memorable photo of Probiy can cost you your health - or even your life! The stones are treacherously slippery, and the force of water is much greater than it seems at first glance. Unfortunately, tragic cases of inattentive tourists being knocked down are not uncommon.

Interesting fact: Probiy waterfall in Yaremche is one of the few Carpathian waterfalls that are easy to reach, as it flows almost in the city. There is a version that the waterfall used to be 25 meters high, but it was blown up, thereby reducing its height to make it easier to float wooden logs down the river. By the way, the people who actually floated the wood down the river were called bokorash.

The Probiy waterfall was formed on the Prut River. At the end of its journey, the water plunges down from a height of eight meters with a deafening roar, and it seems as if the waterfall is boiling! You can watch this natural wonder from a high pedestrian bridge, which is located right next to the Yaremche souvenir market. From the bridge you can see the waterfall from all sides.

You can also see the Breakdown from the suspension bridge. From there you will see the waterfall raging! The entrance to the crossing is paid. If you want to take a cool photo of Probiy and get close to the waterfall, be careful: the stones in the river are very slippery. It is better not to climb there at all and limit yourself to taking a photo from the pedestrian bridge.

Not far from the waterfall, a marked route to the mountain ridge and Mount Yavirnyk begins. Probiy is also the end point of a rafting route. Daredevils, provided that the water level in the Prut is high, go down by kayak from Vorokhta to Yaremche. The route is 40 km long.

The Probiy waterfall flows in the city of Yaremche. Right behind it is a souvenir market where you can buy all sorts of things: embroidered shirts, kotsy (woolen blankets), jewelry, and dishes. There is also another beautiful Carpathian waterfall not far from Yaremche - Maiden's Tears.
