Turčianske Teplice is a town in the Turčianske Teplice District, Žilina region, in central Slovakia. It lies in the Turiec Basin at an elevation of about 518 metres, surrounded by the Greater Fatra, Kremnica, Žiar, and Lesser Fatra mountain ranges. Several streams flow through the town, including Mutnik, Čepčínsky, Diviacky, Hajsky, Ivančinský, Rakša, and Somolický. Turčianske Teplice is the district capital and has a population of around 5,996 (2025).

The first written mention of Turčianske Teplice dates to 1281, when King Ladislaus IV of Hungary granted the lands around the springs to Count Peter. Historically, the town was the centre of Upper Turiec. In 1951, the community of Vieska was merged into the town, and in 1971, Diviaky, Dolná Štubňa, and Turčiansky Michal were also incorporated.

Turčianske Teplice is known as one of the oldest spa towns in Europe. The Spa & Aquapark in Turčianske Teplice uses the local thermal springs for therapeutic purposes. The town’s location at the foot of the Greater Fatra attracts nature lovers and hikers. Notable sights in the area include Blatnica Castle and the Gaderská Valley.

Visitors can explore numerous hiking trails such as "Diviaky – mouth of Veľká Skalná", "Turčianske Teplice – Košarisko", and "Turčianske Teplice, station – Flochová saddle". Peaks like Ostra, Drieňok, Vyšehrad, and Tlstá are popular among hikers. For those interested in local cuisine, the Turčianska bryndziareň has been producing bryndza cheese since 1917. The Spa & Aquapark in Turčianske Teplice offers relaxation and wellness experiences.
