Polonyna Lukovytsia
The height of the meadow is more than 1300 meters above sea level. Incredible landscapes that take your breath away. The charms of the meadow are the pawed fir trees, fresh air and lush greenery. We rebuilt the rye for shepherds who not only care for, graze and shear sheep, but also prepare a delicious product - Budz.
Budz is a fresh sheep, goat, and cow rennet cheese. Budz and brynza are the same product, and if the cheese is fresh and smoked, it is called budz. After being salted for storage, budz becomes bryndza. Every traveler can see the art of cheese making. The meadow is rented by Andrii Maksymiuk.
Every year up to 50 cattle and up to 200 sheep of different age groups live in the meadow. Tourists are welcome at the meadow - the owners are ready to help everyone who wants to learn about the Carpathian culture. The owners allow you to take part in milking cows and watch the making of Budzu. In the meadow, there is a tasting of cheeses, oils, banosh, and guslyanka. Guests taste all of this in the midst of the Carpathian nature. You can get to the meadow from the villages of Probiynivka and Yavirnyk (the trip will take up to 2 hours).
