Chyvchyn is a peak in the Ukrainian Carpathians, located in the Chyvchyn Mountains (Chyvchyn massif), which occupy the northeastern part of the Marmarosh mountain range. The height of the mountain is 1766 m (according to other information - 1769 m).

Chyvchyn is located in the Verkhovyna district of Ivano-Frankivsk region, south of the village of Burkut, known for its Borjomi and Essentuki mineral waters and unique hydrological and botanical natural monuments.

The foothills and slopes of Chyvchyn up to an altitude of 1300-1400 m are covered with ancient forests, and above this mark - with meadows with alpine vegetation and shrubs.

The northern, western, and southern slopes are relatively steep, while the eastern slope is very steep, sometimes with rocky ledges.

To the south of Chyvchyn Mountain is the border between Ukraine and Romania.

The nearest settlements are the villages of Burkut and Shybene, which is a suburb of the village of Yavirnyk (Verkhovyna district, Ivano-Frankivsk region).
