Cascading waterfall "Suceava Hook"
The cascade of waterfalls "Suceava Hook" is a unique natural monument of the Chernivtsi region. It is located on the Suceava River. It is a cascade of three waterfalls. The total height of "Suceava Hook" is about 5 meters. The waterfall is located right next to the road leading to the village, not far from the central part of the village. The cascade of waterfalls got its name from the river on which it is located, as well as from its turbulent streams. When they flow down, they make a peculiar sound, which is popularly nicknamed "huk".
How to get to the "Suceava Huk" in Shepot
The cascade of waterfalls is located near the village of Shepot. This is one of the oldest villages in the Chernivtsi region, it was founded in 1490. It is located 120 km from Chernivtsi, near the border with Romania (the border runs right next to the village, along the Suceava River). There are bus routes from Chernivtsi and the nearest cities. Tourists can also get here by private car.
