Berehove
It is a tourist destination where you can see architectural and historical monuments, taste wine and try Hungarian cuisine in one of the many restaurants or cafes. The local thermal springs of silicon-nitrogen-carbon dioxide-sodium chloride waters of high mineralization are also popular. Analogues are found in Kamchatka, Sakhalin, Iceland, and New Zealand.
The water temperature of the Berehove swimming pool never drops below 36 degrees, and the mineral water comes from a 1680-meter deep well. This water has a good effect on the health of people with cardiovascular diseases, varicose veins, arthritis, osteochondrosis, and diseases of the nervous system. It helps to recover from the consequences of injuries to bone tissue, muscles and tendons.
Tourists should also see the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Christ. Even if you're not a big fan of visiting churches and temples, don't hesitate to visit it, as it is the oldest stone building in Zakarpattia. You should also visit the Berehove Museum, which is located in the former palace of the Transylvanian princes Betlen.
