Verkhnya Hrabivnytsia
Verkhnia Hrabivnytsia is a village in Ukraine, in the Volovets district, Zakarpattia region. The local self-government body is the Pidpolozyany village council. There is a four-year school in the village.
On the southern outskirts of the village, the Mala Pynia River, a left tributary of the Pynia, originates.
The village was first mentioned in 1543 under the name Rabonitza.
1600- Rabonica, Kisrabonica, 1645-Felső-Rabonicza, 1648-Rabonicha, Hrabunicza, 1913-Felsőgereben.
In 1833, a factory producing bottles and window glass was built in Verkhnia Hrabivnytsia.
The bunker in the village of Verkhnia Hrabivnytsia is one of the best preserved monuments of the Second World War on the so-called Arpad Line.
