The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary appeared in Skole in 1896. Before it was built, there was only one wooden church in the small town, surrounded by mountains on all sides, St. Paraskeva (now St. Panteleimon). Both churches belong to the Greek Catholic parish.
