Church of St. Paraskeva, Bolekhiv

The first church of St. Paraskeva in Bolekhiv was wooden. It was built in 1899. The current church was built in 1939. Father Volodymyr Sukhyi initiated the construction of the church. It was built in the traditional Ukrainian-Byzantine style.

After World War II, the church was closed. Instead, its premises were converted into a warehouse, and in 1964 the former church was turned into a museum of atheism. However, in 1989, with the assistance of Father Yaroslav Lesiv, the Church of St. Paraskeva opened its doors to its faithful.

The Church of St. Paraskeva is located on Tserkvna Street. Not far from it is another shrine - the Church of the Assumption.
