Ski Resort "Krasia" - suitable for everyone due to its contrasts

Krasia is a wonderful ski resort located on Mount Krasia (1036 m), suitable for both beginners and professionals, situated in the Velykyi Bereznyi district of the Zakarpattia region, in the village of Vyshka. The nearest settlements are: Zhdeniyevo - 56.6 km, Volovets - 77 km, Uzhhorod - 69 km, Lviv - 196 km. It is worth mentioning the main advantages of vacationing here (there are many):

  1. Small queues at the lifts and rental points;
  2. Accessible location;
  3. Mild climate and clean air;
  4. Quality slopes where artificial snow is created using special equipment.

However, the most important thing is that Krasia has the longest slope in Ukraine, over 3.5 kilometers long. The ski season here lasts from the last month of winter to mid-spring. Before each season, the administration conducts an inspection of the lifts and other equipment.

Resting in Krasia. Prices for slopes and lifts

Of course, the most important thing at a ski resort is the slopes where skiers and snowboarders descend. Their width here reaches up to 250 meters, so tourists do not interfere with each other while skiing. The height difference here is 600 meters, so Krasia will appeal to both those who are skiing for the first time and those who seem to have been born with skis.

The resort has six lifts (2 button lifts, 3 chair lifts, 1 magic carpet):

  • Three chair lifts: four-seater lift of the ski resort "Krasia" (over 1.5 km), two-seater and single-seater chair lift "Lokomotiv" (1980 meters). The two and four passenger lifts continue one another.
  • Two button lifts (470 and 650 meters) belong to the ski resort "Krasia" and the tourist complex "New Season".
  • One magic carpet with a length of 300 meters. It is usually chosen by tourists with children.

Passes are valid on lifts No. 1, 2, and 3.

  • The active season starts from the end of December and lasts until the beginning of March.
  • High season in Krasia includes any weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
  • The holiday season starts on December 31 and lasts until Christmas, and it also includes March 8.
  • Low season starts in December (01.12 – 23.12) and also in March (09.03 – 31.03).
  • Boarding on lift No. 2 is allowed until 16:45!
  • Lift No. 4 is not included in the cable car payment system.
  • Half-day passes operate from 9:00-13:00 or from 13:30 to 17:00 (in the tariff grid in the "1/2" day column, a higher price is set for the morning half-day pass).
  • Children's passes are valid for children under 12 years old.
  • Pension passes are provided exclusively to residents of Ukraine who have reached the retirement age established by Ukrainian legislation at the time of purchasing the pass.
  • The resort administration reserves the right to change tariffs upwards or downwards.

Of course, at the ski resort "Krasia" there is a ski school where you can hire an instructor for group or individual lessons. They teach both adults and children here. A group lesson costs 250 UAH per hour, an individual lesson - 300 UAH.

If you are a beginner, do not start conquering the mountains and then suffer from injuries. This especially applies to children. Let your little one learn from professionals - it will be much wiser and better for the health of the child, as well as for your nerves and peace.

The lift operating hours are 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM daily. Prices for lifts at the Krasia resort: single lift - 30-50 UAH, weekday - 180-550 UAH (Half-day - 100-320 UAH), Weekend - 230 UAH, 100 lifts - 2000-2500 UAH. 3 days - 486/810/945 UAH. 3 days - 1620/2700/3150 UAH. Prices for ski/snowboard rental - 100 UAH/120 UAH per day.

What else is here besides skis and snowboards?

Like any decent ski resort, Krasia organizes hiking excursions into the mountains and various kinds of extreme activities: hot air balloon rides, paragliding (first time with an instructor). You can take mountain transport and explore the local flora and fauna on your own. Quad bikes, snowmobiles (500 UAH per hour), and horseback riding or sledding are at your disposal.

If you are not a fan of snowboards and skis, you can try riding on sleds and "tubes" - at least your children will definitely enjoy it. After an active day, nothing relaxes like a bath or sauna. At ski resorts, they are particularly atmospheric. In addition, almost every hotel has table tennis. The conclusion here is simple: there is plenty to do at the resort, whether in heavy snowfall or on a sunny day.

Where to find skis or a snowboard?

The resort has many rental points - so there is no need to buy equipment if you are a beginner. It is also not necessary to drag all the gear on the trip. Prices here are low: ski rental per day - 120 UAH, snowboard - 115 UAH.

Where to eat?

At all Ukrainian ski resorts (and Krasia is no exception), there are many establishments with delicious national cuisine. In Krasia, there are three cafes at the top, at the lower and upper stations of the lower lift. The average cost of a main dish here is 45 UAH. So, as you can see, there will be no problems with food here. After skiing, if you feel the need to replenish your strength, quickly head to an atmospheric place - order a hot dish, taste local drinks, relax a bit, and then - conquer the mountains again.

Where will I stay?

On the territory of the "Krasia" resort, there is a wide selection of hotels, private sectors, and cottages. Also nearby is the village of Vyshka, where you can find accommodation starting from 250 UAH. Affordable recreation, a multitude of entertainment for any season, delicious Ukrainian cuisine, and slopes for both beginners and professionals - this is all about Krasia.

2 km from the Krasia resort in the village of Vyshka is the hotel "Zoryani Karpaty", which is rightly considered a benchmark hotel complex in the field of ski recreation. It has the largest infrastructure among the hotels of the Krasia resort: a SPA center, a Russian bath, a swimming pool, and a children's playroom.
