The name of the toponym "Osmoloda" comes from the mountain Moloda, near which the settlement was founded in 1873. Most villagers now go abroad for work, so its population is about fifty people. In honor of the first emigrants in 1891, I. Nebylov and V. Ilyanyk, a monument to Ukrainian settlers was erected here. From Osmoloda, there are many hiking excursions in the mountain massif of Horgany, to the mountains of Vysoka, Ihrovec, Moloda. For tourists, the "Vilni Vitri" hotel operates. For lovers of antiquity - the summer residence of Metropolitan Andriy Sheptytsky has been preserved to this day, as well as grottos for relaxation, park paths, and mineral springs. In Osmoloda, there used to be tartaks - sawmills that were owned by the Greek Catholic Metropolis. Also, nearby, there is a unique monument of the industrial revolution of the 19th century - a blast furnace. It was built in 1810 by Metropolitan Antoniy Angelovych. Nearby were a dozen mines where ore was extracted, a forge, and a hammer mill. In the cozy village of Osmoloda, you can not only actively relax but also detach from the hustle and bustle of the civilized world, enjoy the silence, the air, the rustle of the Carpathian forests, and savor homemade honey, bread, and trout.
