Mshana Swamp is a hydrological natural monument of national importance in Ukraine. It is located in the Rozhniativ district of Ivano-Frankivsk region, west of the village of Osmolody, covering an area of 6 hectares. It is a rare bog with peat deposits for the Carpathians, and contains valuable species of herbaceous plants: round-leaved sundew, bog cranberry.

A rare mountain bog located on the territory of Osmoloda State Forestry (Mshany Forestry), on the left bank terrace of the Moloda River, below the mouth of the Mshany River at an altitude of 763-773 m.a.s.l.

The bog has an oval shape and is classified as oligotrophic. It is surrounded on all sides by a spruce forest with an admixture of pine. In the bog itself, the tree layer is sparse and depressed, formed by European spruce and Scots pine with a height of 1 to 4 m. Mountain pine up to 1 m high is rarely found.

The bog is overgrown with shrub and sphagnum communities. Blueberries, blueberries and black cohosh are dominant, while the herbaceous plants are dominated by vaginal fluff. Less common are marsh cranberry and small-fruited cranberry, and round-leaved sundew. The moss cover is dominated by brown sphagnum with an admixture of Magellanic sphagnum. Sedge communities are located along the edge of the bog in a strip up to 5 m wide. They include the small-flowered sedge, which is listed in the Red Book of Ukraine.

The protected area is quite interesting in terms of fauna. Three species of bumblebees and the Ethiopian black butterfly were observed on the flowering shrubs of black cohosh and blueberry. This species of butterfly belongs to the genus of the black butterfly, which is a relic of the Ice Age. In the adjacent areas of the spruce forest, the Carpathian newt, which is listed in the Red Book of Ukraine, is occasionally found. The fauna of the forest edges is more diverse, with various species of beetles.

In 2007, the NGO Carpathian Trails, with the assistance of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine, installed a protection sign.
