Recreational Complex "Kedrova Palata" (Sheptytskyi's Dacha) Osmoloda

"Kedrova Palata", also known as "Sheptytskyi's Dacha" - a recreational complex in the area of Pidlyutomu (Pidlyute) on the Limnytsia River, which is considered the cleanest in Europe. In 1892, the Lviv metropolitan of the UGCC S. Sembratovych purchased 6 hectares of land on the slope of Mt. Lyutoyi near healing hydrogen sulfide springs and built a summer metropolitan residence here. The name "Kedrova Palata" was given to the house because it was built from cedars that still grow in this area. Three pools were equipped with symbolic names Sylvester, Andriy, and Tyty. Aristocrats from all over Austro-Hungary, and later Poland, came to rest and heal in the area of Pidlyutomu.

During World War I, the residence burned down, but it was soon restored by Metropolitan A. Sheptytskyi. Five houses were built, which could accommodate up to 400 people at the same time. Nearby the residence was a stone grotto topped with a cross. In Soviet times, the dacha was used by the party elite as a hunting lodge. In 1999, the "Kedrovi Palaty" were returned to the Ivano-Frankivsk diocese of the UGCC. Now it serves as the diocesan retreat center "Pidlyutomu Area".

In addition to the three main mineral healing springs, guests were attracted by hunting in the forest area. Today, the "Kedrovi Palaty" residence serves as a resort recreational complex. Next to the house, a church has been restored, unique for its decorated mosaic interior.
