Not far from the city of Vynohradiv in the Zakarpattia region of Ukraine is the village of Velyka Kopanya. Since ancient times, Kopanya has been famous for its healing and delicious water from the Chorgiv spring. It is with this spring that people associate the phenomenon of Velyka Kopanya, the mass birth of twins and twins. There are more than 60 pairs of such children in the village out of a population of 3,650. And this number continues to grow every year. This applies to all living things, both humans and animals, and chickens lay eggs with two yolks. Today, according to statistics, almost every family gives birth to twins or twins. This unique phenomenon has been observed in this area since the 40s.
The seemingly small spring is, as geologists have found out, an underground lake that originates from the Kopansky ridge, which also provides the entire area with drinking water. It is very easy to find it: you need to move towards the city of Vynohradiv and on a small mountain slope you will see a miracle spring.
Thanks to this feature, in 2008 the village took an honorable place in the Book of Records of Ukraine, and since then Velyka Kopanya has been known as the "Ukrainian village of twins" or "the capital of twins". For example, on average, only one out of every 83 pregnancies in the world results in twins. The Indian village of Kandallur, which is home to 72 pairs of twins, is an obstacle to the village's entry into the Guinness Book of Records.

The cations of alkali metals - sodium and potassium - are represented in relatively low concentrations. Among the anions in the water, hydrocarbonates dominate, silicon is present in a relatively high concentration, while sulfates, chlorides and nitrates are present in much lower concentrations.
