Serhii is a village in Ukraine, in the
Chernivtsi region,
Putyla district. 1780 is the first historical mention of the village of Serhiia. There are natural monuments in the village: Spruce trees on the estate of Lukian Kobylitsa and Serhiyivka Mineral. The Hutsul village is located at an altitude of 913 m above sea level. Distance to the city of
Chernivtsi: 136 km. Population (according to the last census): 1076 people.
40 km to the Nimchych Pass (nearest ski lifts), 10 km to the district center of Putyla, not far from the T-66 highway 01. In Serhiia near Putyla there is also a monument and museum-estate of the Hutsul rebel and hero Lukian Kobyltsia (1812-1851). In 1843-1849 Lukian Kobyltsia was the leader of the peasant uprising against landlord oppression and serfdom.
Traditional folk crafts: folk embroidery, Easter egg making, logging, wood processing, sheep breeding.
