Revakivtsi is a village located in the Kitsman district, Chernivtsi region. The distance to the regional center of Chernivtsi is 25 km. The population is 880 inhabitants. Revakivtsi could get its name from the German word riva, which means shore, as the village is located on the left bank of the Prut River.
The village has the following facilities: post office, medical institution, educational institution, club, library. The main population is Ukrainians. The villagers are engaged in farming and animal husbandry, entrepreneurial activities and work in various institutions.
Revakivtsi is a center of equestrian sport

For two years now, a local businessman has been reviving equestrian sports here. The riding club is one of the few such facilities in the region. Because of its convenient location (on the Chernivtsi-Ivano-Frankivsk highway), Revakivtsi has become a popular vacation spot for Bukovyna residents and visitors.

The village has the best roads in the district center, well-developed infrastructure, and everything necessary for life, which contributes to the development of tourism. In addition to horseback riding, you can visit the mini-zoo and see ostriches, nutria, peacocks, chinchillas, Vietnamese pigs, pigeons, and ponies. The center also treats children with cerebral palsy.

The villages of Revakivtsi, Berehomet and Klokichka have all the conditions for tourism development. The village council has enough shops, bars, a restaurant, a sauna, and a tourist complex. The villages were gasified 10 years ago. The rural health post and family medicine outpatient clinic were also renovated. Soon, the village library will be computerized and the Internet will be connected there, H. Khrapko continues.

Another drawback in the village is that there is a large House of Culture in the center of Berehomet, which is difficult to maintain, especially in winter (it is expensive to heat). However, it has to be done, because children attend clubs in the club. The village also lacks a shoe repair shop. The village head says that he has allocated a special room for this purpose, but there is no shoemaker in the village. There is also no school in Berehomet, so children go to Revakivka school.

Lysakivskyi's museum in his native school

The Revakivka school, where Mykola Lysakivskyi, a famous sculptor and member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (born in Revakivka), studied, keeps his sculptures. The school has long had a tradition of meeting with alumni after 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 years. A few years ago, the late M. Lysakivsky celebrated the 50th anniversary of his graduation from Revakivka Junior High School. In memory of himself, he presented his works to our school.

Ninth-graders of Revakivske Secondary School are looking at the exhibits in the museum room of M. Lysakivskyi with interest. The initiator of the preservation of the sculptor's works in the walls of his native school was the village head, who suggested it to the artist. He reacted skeptically. But when all the works from Lysakivskyi's yard were collected and moved to the school (showcases were made in the classroom), Mykola Mykhailovych could not believe his eyes that his works were in such good condition. He was extremely grateful for the preservation of the sculptures. Currently, there are about 50 works by the sculptor in Lysakivskyi's room.

Revakivka secondary school is also known for its Museum of History. The idea to create a history museum at the school was conceived long ago. Under the guidance of Ukrainian studies teacher Svitlana Khrapko, they drew up a plan and involved students and parents. The items in the museum were created by the hands of the school's club members. These are Easter eggs, tapestries, ceramics, and embroidery. We also created an exhibition of bread products in the museum room. Parents of schoolchildren living abroad also responded to our request. Together, they arranged the exhibition "Bread of the World". The museum has also arranged a room of antique household items.
