The State Organization "Residence "Synihora" is the residence of the President of Ukraine in the Carpathian massif of Gorgany (near the village of Huta, Bohorodchany district, Ivano-Frankivsk region) on the territory of the National Nature Park "Synihora". It was organized on the basis of an old departmental sanatorium in 2001.

"Synihora" is one of the most fashionable hunting state residences of Viktor Yanukovych. It was created to satisfy the hunting pleasures of the country's top officials. It covers an area of 10,866 hectares. It has palaces, a winter garden, ponds, a helipad, a hunting lodge, dozens of hunting towers, a hotel, a small menagerie with five bears (two adults and three cubs), live traps, ungulate feeders, enclosures with 5 mouflon, 6 fallow deer, 4 spotted deer, about 20 wild boars, 4 cottages, and a ski run with a ski lift. The mountain pine forests here are home to deer, roe deer, wild boars, and in 2009, 6 bison (according to other sources, one bison) were brought in, listed in the Red Book of Ukraine. The bisons were released into the forest and were never seen again (most likely, they were shot by high-ranking hunters).

Public environmental organizations raise the issue of creating a national nature park on the site of the state residence. December 12, 2009. By a decree of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko, Syniogora was reorganized into a national nature park. However, the State Administration of Affairs (SAA) is sabotaging the implementation of the decree. In 2012-2013, the Kyiv Ecological and Cultural Center and Ecopravo-Kyiv sued the State Administration of Affairs and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine over this issue. In 2012, UAH 9 million 318 thousand was spent from the state budget for the residence maintenance under the program for the development of the nature reserve fund. All in all, in 2012, UAH 211,100,000 was spent on the maintenance of Synihora. The construction of one sauna alone cost UAH 1 million. In 2011, 21 million hryvnias were allocated from the state budget for the repair of Yanukovych's dacha, while in the same year 20 million hryvnias were allocated from the state budget for the treatment of diabetics in Ukraine.

Petro Poroshenko and his family celebrated the 2019 New Year in Synihora. In 2020, the next president after Poroshenko, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, celebrated the New Year at the residence with government officials, including Andriy Bohdan.

The State Organization "Residence Synihora" was established in accordance with the Order of the Head of the State Administration of Affairs of August 15, 2005 No. 382 and is managed by the State Administration of Affairs.

The total area of the territory of the State Organization "Residence Sinyohora" is 10,886 hectares.

The residence has a three-storey hotel with 80 beds, including apartments, suites, junior suites, and 6 cottages that can accommodate 40 people. The hotel has a bar, a dining room, a kitchenette, a conference and reception hall, a laundry, an automatic telephone exchange, and storage facilities.

The complex has a subsidiary farm and a sawmill.

The main purpose of the State Organization "Residence "Synihora" is to:

  • Providing appropriate conditions for the reception and stay of senior government officials, heads of foreign states and official delegations of foreign countries and international organizations;
  • integrated forest management, protection, conservation, rational use and reproduction of flora and fauna;
  • ensuring protection of rare species of plants and animals, plant communities in accordance with environmental legislation;
  • use of forest resources and use of land plots of the forest fund in ways that ensure preservation of health and protective properties of forests, as well as create favorable conditions for their protection, protection and reproduction;
  • cage breeding of wild animals;
  • carrying out activities related to the provision of tourist services, servicing foreign tourists and organizing sightseeing tours;
  • Ensuring the implementation of measures to ensure fire safety and sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the territory;
  • popularization among the population of the importance of preserving and properly using forests and protective forest plantations;
  • physical culture, health and sports activities;
  • provision of public services and catering services to the population;
  • running subsidiary farms.

In accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine of December 21, 2009, No. 1083 "On the Establishment of the Synihora National Nature Park", the State Organization "Residence Synihora" is in the process of reorganization (transformation) into the Synihora National Nature Park, which will be the successor to all property rights and obligations of the State Organization "Residence Synihora".

It is noted that guests will be taken to the closed facility as excursionists. According to an employee of the residence, an event of eight people will be charged UAH 1 thousand. If there are more guests, it will cost 50 UAH for each new person. The room rental itself will cost 1 thousand UAH per night, and the menu for the festive table will cost at least 350 UAH per person. There are also cottages on the territory - UAH 2 thousand per day.

However, it is known that the state organization "Residence "Synihora" is located in the village of Huta, Ivano-Frankivsk region, and is subordinated to the State Administration of Affairs.
