Park-museum Carpathians in miniature, Yaremche

A unique park-museum "Carpathians in Miniature" was created in Yaremche, which reflects in detail the architectural monuments and cultural heritage of the Carpathians. The park-museum has become a new tourist attraction and at the same time a platform for non-standard study of the geography and history of the Carpathian region.

The Carpathians in Miniature Park-Museum is a joint project of the Center for Business and Social Initiatives and the Carpathian National Park. The project was implemented in 2015 through the efforts of these two organizations, and on July 21, the interesting object was solemnly presented. It was placed in the Zhonka tract, which is located on the territory of the Carpathian National Park.

The aim of the project was to promote eco-tourism in the region and create a new tourist attraction that diversifies services and complements the interesting leisure activities of guests visiting the resort town.

Today, the Carpathians in Miniature Park-Museum has about 18 objects, including:

  • Chornohora ridge and the observatory on Mount Popivan;
  • accurately reproduced models of churches and monasteries;
  • famous sights of the region;
  • copies of popular wooden buildings, such as the Hutsulshchyna restaurant;
  • Probiy waterfall on the Prut River;
  • the only mini-railroad operating in the Carpathians with copies of the legendary stone bridges in Vorokhta;
  • a station in Tatariv and a tunnel;
  • a sculpture of Queen Jadwiga from Mykulychyn, etc.

According to the organizers, the Carpathians in Miniature park-museum will be improved and the number of museum objects will increase.

Another bonus for tourists is the view that opens from the gazebos located on the museum's territory. There you can relax, get some fresh air, and enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Carpathians.

The organizers plan to increase the number of museum exhibits every year with smaller copies of original objects from Verkhovyna and Yaremche regions.

The Museum of Miniatures in Yaremche is located in the Zhorna tract, on the territory of the national park, on Hrushevskoho Street. The street is located parallel to the H09 highway, through which many routes of both urban and public transport pass.

The park-museum is located literally a hundred meters from the aviary and mini zoo. So, you will be guided by the signs to these objects. Then, leaving the car in the parking lot (if you are traveling by car), you go down the path to the river. A sign will tell you the direction. But even without it, you can easily see the museum territory from above. You can't go wrong there.

Openinghours: the park is open daily from 10:00 to 20:00 all year round.

Ticket price: for adults it costs 30 UAH, for schoolchildren - 20 UAH. The price includes the cost of the tour.
