Shepitskyi Huk Malyi is a waterfall in the Ukrainian Carpathians (Pokutsko-Bukovyna Carpathians). It is located within the Kosiv district of Ivano-Frankivsk region, southwest of the central part of the village of Shepit.

The waterfall is 1.5 meters high. It has one cascade. It was formed in the place where the Brusturka River (a tributary of the Pistynka) crosses a thick sandstone layer. The waterfall is easily accessible, but little known. Nearby are the Shepitskyi Huk waterfalls (5 m high) and the Shepitsko-Brusturskyi Huk waterfalls (8 m high). As a result of the June 2020 floods, the waterfall collapsed.

Malyi Huk is 3.5 meters high. The two waterfalls form small but very picturesque lagoons where you can swim with pleasure, although the water in the mountain river is quite cold, even in summer.

You can get to the waterfalls through Kosiv, Horod, Sokolivka, Yavoriv Snidavka, Shepit, or more traditionally and easily - through Kosiv, Pistyn, Sheshory, Prokurava, Shepit. Unfortunately, there are no regular buses from Kosiv to Shepit on weekends, only on weekdays, and there are buses from Kolomyia on weekends.

So when you arrive at the bus station in the village of Shepit, you will need to walk about three kilometers along the river, against its flow, in the direction of Mount Gregit. Behind the bus stop, about 500 meters away, there will be a fork in the road - you need to go up to the right, not down to the left. After about two kilometers in a straight line, a long descent will begin, and the road will turn left across a wooden bridge over the river. This bridge will serve as a landmark - Malyi Huk will be 30 meters to the right of the bridge, and Velykyi Huk will be 50 meters to the left - you will need to go down a rocky narrow path to it.

It is worth noting that it is difficult to find the waterfalls at first time - you will need to ask the locals for directions, because there are no markings or signs to such a beautiful tourist site, as is usually the case in Kosiv region.
