Embroidery is undoubtedly one of the most famous and widespread forms of folk art in Ukraine. It is this type of folk art that is a classic and, therefore, a living crystal clear source that not only gives us all the riches of the healthy creative forces of the Ukrainian people, but also helps us to comprehend all the heights of their artistic talent.

Ukrainian folk embroideries have both common features inherent in all regions of Ukraine and local differences that are logically justified by historical, social, and geographical factors. The life of the people in a particular environment, their customs, way of life, labor skills, nature, and understanding of beauty have been separated into separate centers - villages, towns, districts, regions, etc.

TheVyshyvanka Museum, located in the village of Zelene, Verkhovyna district, introduces us to the local peculiarities of Hutsul embroidery art - the archaic features of folk ornamentation that have been preserved to this day.

It is difficult to imagine the Carpathians without Hutsuls - positive and hardworking people in bright clothes, blowing trembitas and singing about their native land. In the villages of Ivano-Frankivsk region, almost everywhere you can immerse yourself in the Hutsul atmosphere: try on a national costume and taste local cuisine. The Hutsul Embroidery Museum in the village of Zelene creates this atmosphere to a large extent.

In the museum, you can learn about a variety of different types of embroidery and see entire paintings made using different embroidery techniques.
The museum will tell you in detail and show you the secrets of embroidery, and those who wish will be able to put the knowledge they have gained into practice.
The museum presents icons, paintings, towels, pillowcases, national costumes and many other elements of Hutsul embroidery.

It will also be useful to visit the Hutsul Museum in Verkhovyna. Of equal interest is the Museum of Hutsul Folk Art and Life in Kosiv, where you can see ancient works of art and works by contemporary masters. In addition, there is a museum of Paraska Plytka-Horytsvit, a Hutsul writer, ethnographer, and folklorist, in the village of Kryvorivnia, Verkhovyna district.

The museum is located in the village of Zelene, Verkhovyna district, Ivano-Frankivsk region. The village is small, so it's hard to get lost in it. To get to the village, you need to turn off the P24 highway in the village of Iltsi, then drive through the village of Topilche and then Zelene.
