Tatranská Lomnica is a part of the town of Vysoké Tatry in the Poprad District, Prešov Region of Slovakia. Situated at an elevation of about 850 m at the foot of the High Tatras, it lies near the Lomnický štít peak and is 6 km east of Starý Smokovec. The settlement is traversed by the Hlboký Stream and is served by the Road of Freedom and railway lines connecting it with other resorts in the region.

The area of Tatranská Lomnica has been mentioned since 1209, when it was granted by Hungarian King Andrew II. In 1892, the Hungarian state purchased the land, and the following year the Lomnica Hotel was built, followed by the Grandhotel, which was renamed Grandhotel Praha in 1919. Between 1947 and 1960, the settlement was part of the town of Vysoké Tatry, and since 1999 it has been integrated into it again.

Tatranská Lomnica is known as one of the largest resorts in the High Tatras, with numerous hotels, cable cars, and sports facilities. The TANAP Museum and the Astronomical Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences are located here. A cable car leads to Skalnaté pleso and further up to Lomnický štít. There are also Roman Catholic and Evangelical churches, as well as horse riding and golf clubs in the area.

Visitors can take the cable car to Lomnický štít or Skalnaté pleso, visit the TANAP Museum, or hike the many trails such as "Tatranská Lomnica – Skalnaté pleso", "Tatranská Lomnica – Lysá Polana", or the "Tatranská magistrála: Podbanské – Veľké Biele pleso". Notable peaks include Lomnický štít, Slavkovský štít, and Kežmarský štít. Mountain huts such as Rainerova chata, Skalnatá chata, and Chata pri Zelenom plese are available for rest. Nearby natural and cultural attractions include Belianska Cave, Kežmarok Castle, Studený potok waterfalls, and Ždiar.
