"Bukovitsa" is a modern ski resort in Ukraine, located in the Eastern Beskids of the Carpathian forests. It is situated in the city of Boryslav, a short distance from popular resorts such as Truskavets (7 km) and Skhidnytsia (17.5 km). The first mentions of winter sports on the slopes of the resort date back to the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and the official opening of the ski resort "Bukovitsa" took place on January 5, 2016. Shortly thereafter, a chairlift was constructed in addition to the drag lifts.
The highest point of the ski resort is the slope of Bukovitsa Mountain, with an elevation of 564 meters above sea level (the height of the mountain itself is 625 m). The resort is located in the Tustanovichi area of Boryslav in the Lviv region.
Despite being a relatively new resort, it has already become one of the most popular places among tourists and locals. For the convenience of guests, all necessary equipment can be rented. The ski trails of the resort are built on Bukovitsa Mountain. The slopes are located on the northern side and are maximally protected from sunlight, which helps extend the ski season. The maximum length of the trail is 1050 meters, and the maximum height difference is 160 meters. The trails are equipped with a large number of snow cannons, and the slopes are prepared for safe and pleasant skiing using special equipment and meet all international norms and standards.
There are three lifts at the "Bukovitsa" ski resort: Leithner-Poma – 800 meters, Doppelmayr – 700 meters, Tatrapoma – 300 meters.
The ski school was established in January 2016 and operates on the territory of the "Bukovitsa" complex. Training is conducted by instructors in skiing and snowboarding, and the flexible training system is suitable for people of all ages. Depending on the skill level of the skier or snowboarder, a training program with varying levels of difficulty is selected: 1) Children, 2) Beginners, 3) Experienced skiers, 4) Experts.
On the slopes of the "Bukovitsa" ski complex, the children's sports club "Boryslavskaya Snihynka" has resumed operations. This ski school has a glorious history, good traditions, experienced coaches, and a quality modern base. The main goal of the club is to raise a healthy and strong generation of future champions.
At the SC "Boryslavskaya Snihynka", young skiers and snowboarders can start training from the age of four, and children will practice on quality trails certified according to international safety standards. They are taught by qualified coaches who must have experience working with children and the appropriate education. Training schedules are tailored to the schedule of classes in general education schools. The most talented and successful athletes will be able to represent the club at national ski competitions.
Prices for the observation lift: adult - 100 UAH, child (up to 12 years) and discounted - 60 UAH.
Prices for season passes in 2020/2021: single Poma-Lithner (observation chairlift) - 100 UAH, single Doppelmayr (drag lift) - 40 UAH, single Multilift - 20 UAH, daily - 550 UAH, half day - 330 UAH, 3 hours of skiing - 350 UAH, 3 days - 1480 UAH, 4 days - 1880 UAH, 5 days - 2250 UAH.
Prices for tubing: 1 hour - 120 UAH, 2 hours - 200 UAH, 3 hours - 300 UAH, 1 day - 450 UAH.
Prices for ski school: individual lessons in high season - 450 UAH/hour, small group (2-3 people) - 600 UAH/2 hours, large group (2-3 people) - 450 UAH/2 hours.
Prices for equipment rental: ski set - 200 UAH/all days (skis - 200 UAH/day, ski boots - 120 UAH/day, poles - 40 UAH/day), snowboard set - 200 UAH/all days (snowboard - 100 UAH/day, snowboard boots - 120 UAH/day), helmet - 50 UAH.
The ski complex operates daily: Monday-Friday – 10:00-16:30, Saturday-Sunday – 09:00-16:30.
At the resort in Boryslav, you can rent apartments or rooms in hotels in Truskavets – a famous balneological resort. Three trains run here: Kyiv-Truskavets, Dnipro-Truskavets, and Kharkiv-Truskavets. It takes less than ten minutes to drive from Truskavets to Bukovitsa. After the winter season opens, a free bus will run daily.
