Polonyna "Shchavnyk" (Yavirnyk)

The Shchavnyk meadow is located on the Chornohora ridge at an altitude of 1600 meters above sea level. The owner of the meadow: Ivan Mykolayovych Moysiuk.

Up to 100 heads of cattle and horses graze on the Chornohora meadows. The following dairy products are produced and sold: Budz (cheese), cow cheese, Vurda, and cow's milk.

There is a house in the meadow where you can spend the night, take a shower, and eat. Here they hold (on request) master classes on making cheese, vurda, brynza, and also, if desired, they hold a tasting of dairy products for visitors.

Available for purchase: Budz (cheese), vurda, brynza, milk, various herbal teas, berries and mushrooms.

The Shchavnyk meadow under Mount Vydok. The interfluve of the Black Cheremosh and the White Tisza. The mountain is a mountain of the Ukrainian Carpathians, which is located on a ridge with the peaks of Shchavnyk (1378 m) and Stih (1653 m), through which you can reach the mountain PipIvan Montenegrin (2028 m). To the southeast of the mountain are the Chyvchyn Mountains, and to the west are the Hutsul Alps (Rakhiv Mountains). It is located on the border of Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia regions, west of the village of Zelene (Verkhovyna district) and southeast of the village of Luhy (Rakhiv district). The height is 1471.4 m (according to other sources - 1474.9 m). The mountain is located on a ridge that stretches from Mount Pip Ivan (Chornohora massif) to Mount Stih (Marmarosh massif). The top of the mountain is unforested, the slopes are steep (except for the northeastern one). Along the line of the ridge on which Mount Vydok is located, there is a watershed between the basins of the Tisza and Cheremosh rivers (a tributary of the Prut).

There is good spring water in the meadow, as well as the Burkut mineral water spring.
