Lazeshchyna is a village in the Rakhiv district of the Zakarpattia region (Ukraine). It is located on the Lazeshchyna river under the Petros mountain, on the Rakhiv-Yaremcha highway, on the eastern outskirts of Yasinia. It is the last village of Zakarpattia when going to Ivano-Frankivsk or Bukovyna, or the first village of Zakarpattia when entering from Ivano-Frankivsk. The village has direct access to the Hoverla and Petros mountains.

Every fall, as soon as the potato harvest season ends, Lazeshchyna hosts the Hutsul Turnip Gastronomic Festival." It's very simple: "turnip" means potato in the local dialect. Residents of Lazeshchyna love potatoes so much that they organize a festival in its honor. The event is solemn and loud. The beginning of the festival is traditionally announced with trembitas, a folk wind instrument that is up to 3 meters long. Each participant of the festival is dressed in traditional costumes, guests are greeted by carts and wagons, singing merrily and hospitably inviting them to visit every corner of the festival.

From Lazeshchyna, in theory, you can go to Hoverla, but the way to it will not be close and not pleasant, because first you have to get to Kozmeshchyk, which is another 9 km from the Lazeshchyna road. The climb to Hoverla is long, but there are also huts suitable for overnight stays, parking spaces, and springs along the way. By the way, you can also go to Petros from Kozmeshchyk, making a stop at the huts below the peak, which were mentioned above.

In winter, you can go skiing in Lazeshchyna, there is 1 ski run of 500 meters, a height difference of 80 meters and 1 drag lift of 350 meters. There is an emergency rescue center.

In summer, hiking in the mountains, - picking mushrooms and berries, - horseback riding
