Bielsko-Biała is a city county in the Silesian Voivodeship of Poland, situated on the Biała River in the south of the country. The city lies at the foot of the Western Carpathians, close to the Little Beskid and Silesian Beskid ranges. Bielsko-Biała is the largest city of the Bielsko agglomeration and serves as an important administrative, economic, and cultural centre in the region.

The first mention of Bielsko dates back to 1312, while Biała Krakowska received town rights in 1723. On January 1, 1951, the two towns were merged into a single urban entity—Bielsko-Biała. Between 1975 and 1998, the city was the administrative centre of the Bielsko Voivodeship, and since 1999 it has been part of the Silesian Voivodeship.

Bielsko-Biała is known for its rich architectural heritage, numerous monuments, and proximity to mountain ranges. The city has a developed industry, especially in the automotive and textile sectors, and is an important transport hub. It is also home to the Animated Film Studio, which produced the popular cartoon series "Bolek i Lolek."

For visitors, Bielsko-Biała is an excellent base for mountain adventures. There are over 30 hiking trails in and around the city, including "Straconka – Międzybrodzie Bialskie," "Mikuszowice Krakowskie – Malinowska Skała," "Kozy – Żarnówka Mała (yellow trail)," and the "Little Beskid Route." Mountain enthusiasts can climb the peaks Klimczok and Czupel, or visit Międzybrodzkie Lake. Accommodation is available in mountain huts such as Dom Turysty, PTTK na Magurce, Grobacza Łąka, PTTK Schronisko na Szyndzielni, Chatka na Rogaczu, Chata Wuja Toma, and Schronisko Klimczok.
