The first written mention of Tyapche in Dolyna district of Ivano-Frankivsk region dates back to 1515, and even then there was a church in the village. The tax register of 1515 documents a priest in the village of Tepchaluka (so there was already a church then) and 6 fields (about 150 hectares) of cultivated land.
In 1939, the village had 930 inhabitants (915 Ukrainians, 10 Poles, and 5 Germans and other nationalities). Now the village has 1500 inhabitants and 470 houses. Local gravel, sand, and clay are used for construction. Residents are engaged in household chores and work in Dolyna, which is 7 km away. In the east of the village, oil deposits have been found and swing pumps, equipment for the extraction of black gold, are not uncommon here.
There is a spring near a small stream in the lowlands, over which a canopy was built and a cross was installed. However, in the fall the spring was a little shallow and not very clean. Apparently, in the spring it is purified, and people take water here for sanctification.
After studying at the Buchach gymnasium, Mykola Korpan, a native of the village, joined the ranks of the defenders of the Ukrainian state and died in the battle of Kruty in 1918. The monument to the heroic countryman was unveiled in 2010. On the same site, a memorial stone with a plaque bearing the names of the fallen soldiers-fellow villagers and those exiled to the Siberian Gulags was installed.

The elementary school in the village was founded in 1842 and was located in the deacon's house built in 1773. Children were taught to write, read, and do math, and upon completion of the 2-year training, they were issued a certificate of education. In case of poor grades, the reason was given: parental negligence, weakness, poverty. A memorial cross is now erected in this place.

The status was granted to preserve the remnant of the oligotrophic bog, where three species of palm-root and small-fruited cranberry grow - species listed in the Red Data Book of Ukraine.
Tyapche is located near the Lviv-Ivano-Frankivsk highway. There is a railway connection to the two regional centers. The location is very favorable for the Vezha cafe and the Mlyn restaurant.
