Trenčianske Teplice is a spa town in western Slovakia, located in the valley of the Teplička River at the foothills of the Strážov Mountains. It belongs to the Trenčín District in the Trenčín Region and sits at an elevation of 276 metres above sea level. The town is surrounded by scenic Carpathian landscapes and is well known as a destination for relaxation and wellness.

The first written mention of Trenčianske Teplice dates back to 1379. In the 13th century, the area was known as terra Teplicza and belonged to the Cseszneky family. The town became a spa site in the 14th century and was owned by the Illésházy family from 1582. In 1835, Viennese financier Jozef Sina purchased the area and developed the spa. After World War II, the spa was nationalised.

Trenčianske Teplice is renowned for its sulphur thermal springs, which have long been used to treat diseases of the locomotive organs and nervous system. The spa is set in a natural environment protected from winds, and its architectural highlight is the late 19th-century hammam bath in the Sina spa house. The town also features a romantic English park with a pond, and in the past, it hosted the international Art Film Fest.

Visitors can enjoy wellness treatments at "Trenčianske Teplice: Hammam and Sulphur Thermal Baths". For those seeking outdoor activities, there are numerous hiking trails such as "Dubnica nad Váhom – Trenčianske Teplice", "Hlohovec – Trenčín, Hotel Elizabeth", and "Nová Dubnica – Kamenné vrata". In the surrounding mountains, huts like "Shelter under Ostrý vrch" and "Baské Shelter" offer opportunities for longer hikes and exploration of the Strážov Mountains.
