Rohatyn district

Not far from Rohatyn, to the right of the road to Berezhany, there is Devil's Mountain, a unique botanical natural monument, a remnant of the Ice Age. Several species of ancient flora grow on the territory. There is a legend that the devils did not like Rohatyn and decided to raze it to the ground. The devils dug this mountain near the village of Lopushnia, left a large pit of about the same size, and carried it to Rohatyn. In the morning, however, roosters began to crow, and the devils, frightened, left the mountain where it is today.

Cherche sanatorium

The first written mention of Cherche dates back to 1433. The settlement existed here already in the XII century. In the village of Cherche there is a sanatorium of the same name. The main healing factors of the resort are mineral and hydrogen sulfide springs, peat mud. Indications for treatment: diseases of the spine and joints, central and peripheral nervous systems. Treatments: modern physiotherapy, acupuncture, psychotherapy, physical therapy and mechanotherapy, underwater extraction, shower massage.

Nature reserves

• There are 2 reserves of local importance in the district - forest (beech tree stand) and hydrological (lowland marshes), as well as the rock and floral complex "Velyki Goldy" with rich steppe vegetation.
