Regional Museum of Flora and Fauna of the Carpathians in Kolomyia District
Located in a separate building of the Pechenizh Forestry, the Nature Museum is situated in the Kolomyia District near the village of Knyazhdvir, on the territory of the well-known botanical reserve of national significance "Knyazhdvirskyi".

The main goal of creating the Regional Museum is to familiarize local residents and tourists with the history of the region, its forest inhabitants, including the "Red Book" representatives of the flora and fauna of Prykarpattia, and to promote a caring attitude towards wildlife, etc.

The museum's permanent exhibition occupies three large rooms, two of which are dedicated to collections of various species of forest animals. Here you can see a huge bison brought from the forests of Belarus, a deer, an elk, a wolf, a lynx, a boar, and other inhabitants of the Carpathians.

Among the exhibits in the third room are various birds, an interesting collection of rare insects, numerous samples of minerals and woody-shrub species.

The exhibition stands of the museum feature descriptions of the flora and fauna of Prykarpattia.

Attention! The museum can be visited only by prior arrangement, and you can find the contacts, directions, and infrastructure here.
