Steavul (also known as Shchaul, Shaul) is a 1752-meter peak in the Ukrainian Carpathians, which lies in the Rakhiv district of the Transcarpathian region in the southwestern direction from the village of Bohdan.

The mountain is located within the Hutsul Alps of the Marmarosh mountain range.

Up to 1300-1400 m, the slopes of Steavul are covered with forests formed mainly of coniferous trees, above this mark - with meadows covered with alpine and subalpine vegetation.

The northern and southern slopes of the mountain are steep, while the eastern and western slopes are gentler.

Steavul is located on a massive ridge that forms the border between Ukraine and Romania. At the very top, there is a border pillar (the southern slopes of the mountain are already Romanian territory).

To the west-northwest of Steavul Mountain is Mica Mare Mountain, and to the east is Birsnescu Mountain.

The nearest settlement is the village of Bohdan (Rakhiv district, Zakarpattia region).
