Korostiv
Thevillage of Korostiv is located in the valley of the rivers Oryava (a tributary of the Opir) and Butyla (which in turn flows into the Oryava), 8 km from the district center of Skole. The area of the village is 236.9 hectares, the population is over 900 people. The Kyiv-Lviv-Chop highway runs through the southern part of the village. The population is 933 people.
Korostiv has 2 settlements: Huta, where glassware known throughout Austria-Hungary was once produced, and Butivka, once known as a logging center. The highest mountain in the vicinity of the village is Kyivets (1061 meters).
The village has several hotels and recreation centers, green tourism estates, catering establishments, a trout farm, a room-museum, recreation areas, and several wooden houses from the late nineteenth century.
