Hutsulshchyna Museum in Yablunytsia
Work on the creation of the museum began in the 1970s. In April 1991, according to a report from the Verkhovyna District Council, the Lenin Museum was completely liquidated and the museum's premises were transferred to the Hutsulshchyna Museum. Over time, by mutual agreement, the museum was moved to the House of Culture. The museum is located in 3 rooms on the second floor. The first room has exhibition corners: "History and People of the Hutsul Region", "World War II", "Our Glorious and Bitter Fate", "Love and Know Your Native Land", "Friendship between the Museum and Students of the Institute of Architecture in Lodz (Poland)". The second room contains household items, carpentry tools, various looms for making clothes of linen and woolen origin, miniature ones: a hut-citizen, a kolyba, an ancient simple hut, home chapels, a corner of the Polonyna folk film studio.The third room reflects the interior of a Hutsul monastery with different clothes, kitchen items, ancient tables, a chest, musical instruments, ancient icons and many other items, a small library with ancient and modern literature about our region, and modern computer equipment for the Polonyna folk video studio. Since its opening, the museum has been visited by guests from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Italy, and Austria.
