The village of Chornohuzy is located immediately at the exit from Vyzhnytsia in the direction of the village of Vashkivtsi. The territory of the village is 1913 hectares, the population is 2804 people. Chornohuzy was badly damaged by the flood in July 2008. There is a wooden church of the Nativity and a bell tower in Chornohuzy. The church was built in 1946.

Traditional folk crafts: arts and crafts, wood carving, embroidery, wickerwork, root plastics.

The name of the village comes from the black goose bird. The first written mention of the village of Chornohuzy dates back to 1753. The village of Chornohuzy is part of the Chornohuzy village council. The village of Chornohuzy is located in the foothills of the Carpathians, on the right bank of the Cheremosh River, 70 km from the city of Chernivtsi. It borders on the district center of Vyzhnytsia in the south. In 1954, the village of Chornohuzy was joined by the hamlet of Dibrova, which used to belong to the village of Ispas. To the west, the village is outlined by the Cheremosh River, which once formed the border, now the border between Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions.

To the east, there is one of the highest terraces (11 in total), formed by a change in the channel of the former pre-Cheremosh, which millions of years ago was on the site of the river Mihiderka on Bagnia. The village is quite long and stretches along thePutyla-Vyzhnytsia-Vashkivtsi-Chernivtsi highway for about 4.5-5.0 km. On the left, along the river, there are meadows and a dam artificially created in 1964-1965, pine trees, willow bushes, poplars and other trees.

The history of the village is extremely interesting and inseparable from the present. From generations past to the present, customs and traditions, rituals, and folk festivals are intertwined, and the Chornohuzivka residents keep them alive and pass them on to the youth. For example, for over 25 years, the folklore and ethnographic ensemble "Molodychky - Zhyttynychky" has been working at the village house of culture, founded and first directed by Frozina Hulei, Honored Master of Folk Art of Ukraine.

The members of the ensemble recreate traditional wedding "Zavodyni", honor birthdays on Angel's Day in the play "Chuga na patron", and also bring to the audience songs and humor that are more than 200 years old. The village has its own masters of carving and Easter eggs, embroiderers and weavers, painters and poets, teachers and doctors. Among them: self-taught village artist Mykhailo Khashchovyi, pysanka maker Zirka Nesteriuk, embroiderers Vasylyna Shpak and Mariia Ivanchuk, and wood carvers: Yurii Pauchek, spouses Vasyl and Liuba Kalyna, Ostap and Halyna Hryhoriak, Ihor and Myroslava Firchuk; wickerworker Kalyna Haruk and many other personalities who pour their creativity into their work, which they use to glorify their native village and Mother Ukraine.

A secondary school and a kindergarten "Svitlyachok" are located and operate on the territory of the village council. Objects of religious significance include the Nativity of the Virgin Church (Moscow Patriarchate).
