The modern ski resort of Izky is located at the foot of Zhyd-Magura mountain, 22 km from the village of Mizhhirya, 18 km from the railway station Volovets. It includes a hotel complex built of a wooden log house and has two restaurants: "Kolyba" - restaurant of national cuisine, "Magur" - restaurant of European cuisine. The resort is served by two ski lifts. The slopes are characterized as easy and of medium difficulty, with a track width of 200 meters in some places. The slopes have artificial snowmaking and a snow groomer, as well as equipment rental and a ski school.

The advantage of Izky Resort is the close proximity (50 meters) of the ski slopes to the place of residence. Safe slopes with 100% snow cover will ensure comfortable learning and skiing. You can rent skis, snowboards, sledges, or snowtubes at the rental center.

The village is located in the valley of the Repynka River, between the Borzhava valley and the Ruskyi Verkh mountain. In the vicinity of Izky, there are also the Midianytsia Yalynka and Magura Zhyda mountains. During the First World War, a defensive line ran along Mount Holytsia, which is located on both sides of the village. The most famous among skiing enthusiasts is Mount Magura, where there are ski lifts and slopes.

The official mention of the settlement itself dates back to 1600, although it has been known since the second half of the 16th century.

According to legend, the name of the village comes from the word "sparks" - they appeared when the opryshky led by Oleksa Dovbush were traveling along a narrow stone road. This is where Izky were formed, which in the seventeenth century changed to Izky-Pylypets. Today they are separate settlements.

Once upon a time, Izky had a healing spring called Zymivkova Krynytsia, where residents of neighboring villages and shepherds used to rest, in addition to the locals. Due to deforestation and, consequently, landslides, the spring disappeared.

The Voloskyi Stream, so named because of the oxen that were brought here to drink from the surrounding mountains, originates in the village.
