Izky is a modern ski eco-resort located in the valley of the Repynka River, near Borzhavska Polonyna and the peaks of Rusky Verkh, Holytsia, Midianitska Yalyna, Zhyd-Mahura. Can you imagine the beauty there? The village of Izky is historic. During World War I, a defensive line passed through the Holytsia Mountain. The name comes from the word "iskry" and appeared during the times of the opryshky and Oleksa Dovbush.
Izky began to develop during the Soviet era, and now it is one of the most popular ski resorts. Every year, honey, cheese, and wine festivals are held here. The resort operates year-round. Nearby are ski resorts such as Pylypets, Podobovets, and Mizhhirya.

Skis and Snowboards
At the foot of the Zhyd-Mahura Mountain, there are lifts and trails, making it the most popular among tourists at the resort. From here, you can transfer to the Hemba Mountain (where the trails of the "Pylypets" ski resort are located). The "blue" and "green" trails are of medium and easy difficulty (length - from 1000 to 3000 meters), as well as for sledding. The height difference at the Izky resort is 250 meters. There is a ski school for beginners, and you can also use the service of a private instructor.
There are three lifts in Izky - a chair lift (980 m), a button lift (950 m), and a beginner's button lift (150 meters):
- chair lift - 100-200 hryvnias; 400-700 UAH for a full day.
- ski-pass for the chair lift: 1500 hryvnias (for 3 days) and 3000 hryvnias (for 7 days);
- various types of subscriptions and discounts for children.
- operating hours of the lifts: from 9:00 until the end of daylight.

The resort area has a parking lot, a medical center, a kindergarten, and constant Wi-Fi. You can eat in restaurants and fast-food establishments or shop at grocery stores.
Entertainment at Eco-Resort "Izky"
- This is one of the few resorts where you can try speed riding - skiing with a parachute.
- And how can you be in Transcarpathia without freeriding? Professional skiers or snowboarders will definitely not regret choosing Izky for their vacation.
- Exploring the local beauty is best done on rented ATVs or bicycles, and even better to see everything from a bird's eye view - on a paraglider.
- At the resort, you can arrange horseback rides, paintball, or just go to a spa salon.
- For your children, there is a snow park, an ice rink, and snow tubing - they will be thrilled with such winter entertainment.


Excursions
We have already mentioned that the Izky resort is a historic village. Therefore, it is not surprising that there are many interesting places that must be visited. You can sign up for an excursion directly at the resort.
It is worth seeing:
- the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker from the 17th century with a bell tower - a bright example of "Verkhovyn Baroque";
- many museums and exhibitions that take place in the village of Kolochava;
- the unchanging Lake Synevyr and the Shypit waterfall;
- the defensive complex - the Arpad line.
How to Get There
The best way to reach the village of Izky is through the settlement of Volovets - there is a train station. First, you need to go to Uzhhorod and find the Volovets or Mizhhirya station there. In Volovets, there is a train station, in Mizhhirya - a bus station. If you are driving your car: the Kyiv - Chop highway to Nyzhni Vorota; turn to Mizhhirya or Volovets and drive to the village of Izky. Another route: Ivano-Frankivsk – Dolyna - Mizhhirya (or Volovets) - Izky.
The distance from the city of Lviv to the Izky resort is 200 km, and from the city of Kyiv 720 km. The E50/M-06 route, section Kyiv-Lviv-Chop to Nyzhni Vorota, then turn left onto T0718 to Volovets, heading towards Mizhhirya. Drive another 20 km from the city of Volovets to the Izky resort. There is an option to order a transfer Volovets – Izky – Volovets (by prior arrangement, distance 20 km).
