Mineral Spring, Shevchenkove

Near the village of Shevchenkove runs the R-21 road, leading from Mizhhirshchyna to Dolina. Above the road stretches the Shandra tract. Close to the highway, one can hear the roar of the mountain river, the swiftly flowing waters of which do not warm up even in hot weather.

By the road, there is a spring with a sharp smell - this is mineral water rich in hydrogen sulfide. It is used to treat numerous diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. There are very few such springs in Ukraine, and they are most often found at the foot of high mountains. Hydrogen sulfide springs are divided into three groups: saturated with bicarbonate, chloride, or sulfate. The latter also contains calcium.

Near the spring, there is a place for picnicking and relaxation. Those wishing to continue their journey should descend into the tract and enjoy the beautiful landscapes; depending on the season, one can gather mushrooms or berries here.
