Kalush district · Ivano-Frankivsk region
Knyazivske covers an area of 243 hectares and borders the villages of Dubshara, Ivanivka, Yasenovets, Tsineva, Duba and Pidlisia. It is located 12.5 km away from the district center of Rozhnyativ. The village has 5 streets with a length of 7 km, 300 household yards, and a population of 870 people as of 2000. The following institutions are located on the territory of Knyazivska village council: Secondary school of I-II levels with about 100 pupils, library, club, paramedic and obstetric station, kindergarten "Malyatko", private pharmacy.
The magnificent nature of Knyazivske village attracts people at any time of the year: full-flowing streams Pavlovets, Tsinovka, Dilok, Hranitsa, Strymblyanyi Potik, Semankova krynytsia, Didova krynytsia in the Prydatok tract, Dzherelna voda in the Kirnytsi tract, Ivanovo mineral spring in the Tsinovka tract, Rymakove mineral spring in the Perednii Shchovb tract. There are about a hundred tracts in the village: Chertizh, Rozdil, Trypitya, Yasla, Sidlo, etc. (their names were collected and recorded by Pavlina Lytvyn (Vasylyshyn) in the book "Stories about Knyazivske").
"From time immemorial, the village has been guarded by the Pavlivskyi stone, a beautiful and dear to all of us," writes Pawlina Lytvyn (Vasylyshyn) about this majestic natural rock formation located in the forest near the village.
The fascination with the magnificent nature of Kniazivske was conveyed in the works of local poets, artists, as well as Honored Artist of Ukraine V.I. Kharchenko, Honored Artist of Ukraine P.I. Volyk, and Russian artist M.O. Popov.
All the joyful and tragic events in the life of the village, as well as its individual residents, were immortalized by memorial crosses-amulets that keep the village of Kniazivske in a strong protective ring. There are about thirty of them. Knyazivske residents still honor them by passing through the community with a dedication every year during the Green Holidays.
