DinoPark, Polianytsia (Bukovel)

Polianytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk region, Ukraine

DinoPark in Polianytsia is an open-air dinosaur theme park at the entrance to Bukovel resort. It is easy to spot from the road: a huge dinosaur figure stands right by the highway. Visitors know it by several names — «DinoPark», «Dinoland», «Dinosaur Park» — but they all mean the same place at 226 Prokhidnyi Street. It is one of the most popular things to do with kids near Bukovel: on Google Maps the park has over two thousand reviews with an average rating of 4.6.

What to see

The park is laid out on a slope in a spruce forest with a mountain stream nearby, so walking among the exhibits is also a walk through Carpathian woodland. Large figures of dinosaurs and prehistoric animals line the paths, many of them moving and roaring — which is what children love most. According to the park's partners, there are more than twenty dinosaur species and several predators; there are also giant insect and spider figures, a skeleton-shaped arch tunnel and other photo spots.

  • animatronic dinosaurs that move and roar;
  • giant insects and spiders;
  • a three-storey wooden «Noah's Ark» with figures of animals and people on every floor;
  • sandpits for «excavating» dinosaur skeletons — for young palaeontologists;
  • rest areas and photo zones.

For children and families

DinoPark suits families with preschool and school-age children best, though adults happily pose next to the T. rex too. According to the park's partners, the ticket also covers a playground with carousels, swings and slides; rope attractions and tubing are mentioned as well — check at the ticket desk whether they are running on the day. A relaxed walk around the park takes an hour to an hour and a half, so allow time for breaks. Some paths run along the slope, so wear comfortable shoes; they can be slippery in rain. In cool weather bring warm clothes: the wooded slope feels noticeably fresher than the valley.

The park is interesting in any season: in summer the figures stand among greenery, and in winter the snowy forest adds atmosphere. Bloggers film reviews of new additions every year, so the exhibition keeps growing with new figures and attractions.

Opening hours and prices

According to Google Maps, in October 2026 the park is open daily from 9:30 to 18:00. In summer, according to partners, hours may be longer, into the evening, so call before you go. Tickets are sold at the desk by the entrance on a first-come basis; current prices are displayed at the ticket desk and are not published online, so ask by phone: +380 50 023 46 27.

How to get there

DinoPark is in Polianytsia village, Nadvirna district, at 226 Prokhidnyi Street — on the road from Tatariv and Yablunytsia to Bukovel resort, a few kilometres before the main part of the resort. By car from Ivano-Frankivsk the drive takes about two hours (via Nadvirna, Yaremche and Tatariv); then turn towards Bukovel and look out for the dinosaur by the road.
