Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the UGCC, Polianytsia
The Church of the Presentation in the village of Polianytsia is a fine example of Ukrainian architecture of the twentieth century. There are many wooden churches in Transcarpathia. Unfortunately, some of them disappear in fires. This happened to the church in Polyanytsia, built in 1912. The new church was rebuilt in 1990.
The Prutets River originates in this area. The church is located on its bank, and the view is magical. Further, the river flows through the territory of the Carpathian Nature Park. Polianytsia is located in the heart of ski resorts. Bukovel, one of the best resorts in the Carpathians, is worth a visit nearby. It is beautiful both in winter and summer.
