10

Виставкове життя Львова надає охочим піти до музею чи галереї досить розмаїту пропозицію. Тому хочемо звернути увагу ще на декілька проектів, які обов’язково варто відвідати.

Project "SV Belt, Chain, String" at "Dzyga"

At the "Dzyga" gallery, the project by Volodymyr Topiy "SV Belt, Chain, String" is ongoing for the last days. The installation consists of drawings on the walls of the gallery and other objects dedicated to... a cow.

Fragment of the exhibition

"When I was little... I remember walking with a string in my hands, leading a cow slowly and steadily, it moved ahead of me, up to the pasture, each time higher and higher until reaching the destination, often stopping. While grazing, it joined the neighbor's cows. In the morning hours, I would lie down in the field to take a nap, wrapping myself in a jacket, falling asleep next to it. Its heavy breath would fade away and then come closer, I knew it was nearby, I could hear the rhythmic tearing of grass...

When I woke up, I would run to turn it back, searching for the string or chain in the grass, polished, worn by the ground and grass, I would take it by the end, pulling it, the other side was tied to the cow by its horns or neck, so the large black-and-white creature would turn around and start going in the direction I needed...", - shares his memories with the audience the author.

"Holiday" at Iconart

The exhibition "Holiday" by artists Andriy Kovalenko and Olha Kovtun can be viewed at the Iconart gallery of contemporary sacred art in Lviv. The artists, who mostly work in the genre of sacred art, this time dedicated their works to the Ukrainian female image.

Household details, embroidery ornaments, headwear – presented not as folklore elements, but as decorations of fairy-tale scenes. Immersing themselves in the study of Ukrainian and European Renaissance and Baroque painting, the artists managed to create a special world of colors, signs, and images that cannot be confused with anything else.

Olha Kovtun and Andriy Kovalenko invite viewers into this almost fairy-tale world.

Decorative Art at the Art Gallery

The exhibition of the Faculty of Decorative and Applied Arts of the Lviv National Academy of Arts, featuring the best diploma and course student works, as well as creative works by faculty members, is ongoing at the Art Gallery.

Fragment of the exhibition

The Faculty of DAP includes five departments. Among them are the oldest, which were established during the creation of the university in 1946: artistic textile, artistic ceramics, and artistic wood. Additionally, there are the departments of artistic glass and artistic metal, which were organized later.

"The exhibition aims to demonstrate the level of the LNAU school in the field of decorative and applied arts, the ability of its graduates to creatively change, modernize, and intellectualize the material environment, immersing visitors in a flow of meanings and aesthetic pleasure," - believe the organizers.
