Lake Synevyr is, without exaggeration, a legend of the Carpathians. It is the largest and most mysterious mountain lake in Ukraine. This pearl is to be found among the rocks and forests of the Inner Gorgany mountain range, on the lands of the National Nature Park of the same name.
The water of Synevyr is so clean and clear that trout, a fish that can live only in crystal clear water, feels good in it. The lake was formed as a result of an earthquake, and three mountain streams flow to it, maintaining a high water level at any time of the year. The surface of the lake sparkles with blue, but in the middle of the water there is a small island. This picture looks like a blue eye with a dark eye in the middle - that's why Synevyr got its second, very romantic name: Sea Eye.
At the end of summer, the All-Ukrainian Song and Art Festival "Trembitas Call to Synevyr" is held near the lake.
