To preserve, revive, and popularize Hutsul home-woven woolen blankets (bedspreads), a museum was created in Verkhovyna, where you can learn about the history of their origin, production technology, and their importance to the Hutsuls, as well as buy this wonderful product to take home. The lizhnyk not only warmed the Hutsuls on cold winter nights, but also had ritual and interior significance.

The private museum was founded in 2016 to preserve and popularize the cultural heritage of the Hutsuls. It is dedicated to the history of lizhnyks - thick woolen products with a voluminous surface and a long fluffy double-sided pile.

Visiting our museum you will learn about all stages of production, the technology of making lizhnyk and the history of its origin, what place it occupied in the life of Hutsuls, get a master class on making and will be able to buy a beautiful natural lizhnyk.

Location: Zlata Recreation Complex, Verkhovyna village, 21 Zhabievska street. Entrance fees: general, pensioners and students - 25 UAH, pupils - 20 UAH.
