The Mushroom Museum opens its doors to the fabulous and amazing world of mushrooms and forests. They know everything about mushrooms here!

Although the museum was opened only in 2019, the building in which it is located is an old wooden Hutsul hut transported from the mountains. It will be interesting for both adults and children, who will be able to feel like tiny inhabitants of a giant forest. So far, there are only models here, but in a few years the owner promises to have real mushrooms growing in the yard, which the museum knows everything about.

In the museum you can learn everything about mushrooms! You can buy them and even taste mushroom dishes on the grill.

For all mushroom lovers, the museum will conduct a tour and tell you which mushrooms are instantly poisonous and which have a toxic effect that manifests itself after years and causes liver cirrhosis.

According to the museum owner, the porcini mushroom is rightfully considered the king among these plants, and the chanterelle is called the queen. Hutsuls are so fond of them that sometimes mushrooms even become currency. However, some of the caps on their legs can be seriously dangerous.

The Mushroom Museum is located in the village of Iltsi, which borders Verkhovyna. In the village of Iltsi, right after the church, you need to turn to the river and drive along a dirt road for 2 minutes.
