Museum of glass
A very interactive and modern museum. Small in size, but quite interesting. The museum is located in the city center. There is a separate room with products for sale (from 200 UAH).
For only 20 UAH you will get a ticket with access to the entire exposition, an audio guide and a quest. The exhibits are impressive, and you can buy glassware. Amazing interesting glassware of varying complexity and design.
In 1992, it was founded by the famous Ukrainian glass artist Andriy Bokotey. The current exhibition was updated and opened on April 19, 2013. The oldest exhibits are glass vessels and beads made in the 1st and 2nd centuries in the Roman colonies in the south of modern Ukraine. The majority of the exhibition is devoted to the products of the Royal Guild of Princess Isabela Lubomyrska. The purity and transparency of the glass is impressive. More than 200 artists from 29 countries took part in the symposia. Each artist has the opportunity to work near the glass furnaces with a team of highly skilled glassblowers. Each participant leaves a work as a gift to the city. Today, the collection includes 300 pieces and is kept in the funds of the National Museum in Lviv. The works are made by glass artists from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Belarus, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, and others. There are also bracelets and fragments of bracelets found during excavations in Zvenyhorod and Halych, and products of local gutters, which were abundant in Galicia in the 15th-17th centuries.
