Mount Ostry (Ostra)

The mountain offers wonderful views of the entire Kosiv. The descent is steep, and autumn is magical here. The mountain is 584 meters high. An incredible place, clean and nice. There is a platform for photos, in front of the platform there is a place to relax, make a fire and a hammock. It's close enough to Kosiv, the climb is not long (2-3 hours), easy, but we recommend going slowly and enjoying the nature.

Be sure to be there in the evening! There are three routes leading here: Green, Blue and Red:

• Green is the best and easiest (from the Volodar estate);
• Blue is shorter but steeper (from the cross on the grave, there is a barely visible path, but you should not go without a guide);
• Red - a very steep climb on four legs (you can go from Mykhalkiv Mountain by the path to Ostryi, but like the second path, it is better to go with a guide).

It would be nice to have benches for sitting. There is a great bike path where you can walk, and the signposts are just a bomb! If you go to the mountain on weekends, be prepared to make comments to people who listen to music loudly in the forest.

It's a pity that there are not enough signs in place. As people say, it's a place of power! Sometimes you come across mushrooms, beautiful flora. If you go with children, the ascent and descent are near the Volodar estate (a rather comfortable house with internet).
