Matkiv is a village in the Turka district of the Lviv region in the Carpathians on the banks of the Stryi River.
Matkiv has undoubtedly earned its place on the UNESCO List. It is a masterpiece. It is undeniable. The Matkiv Older Church (there are two churches in the small village) is one of eight wooden UNESCO nominees (2013 nomination "Wooden Churches of the Carpathian Region of Poland and Ukraine).
