The Kamianets Waterfall is located on the river of the same name and is the most famous waterfall in Lviv Oblast. Due to its shape and location – among incredibly beautiful wooded cliffs – this hydrological natural monument attracts a huge number of tourists year-round, as well as anyone wishing to enjoy nature.
The waterfall on the Kam'yanka River is divided by a huge boulder into two streams. It is both beautiful and powerful. Surrounding the waterfall is a valley covered with crushed stones, washed down by the turbulent spring waters from the mountains. Just imagine for a moment the might of the waters of the Kamianets waterfall when the snow begins to melt or during prolonged summer rains!
The height of the waterfall is about 6-7 meters. Although the waterfall is most spectacular in early spring when the Kam'yanka River is at its fullest, you can come to admire the beauty of this natural tourist attraction throughout the year.
For the convenience of tourists, there are specially equipped resting places and viewing platforms near the waterfall. And thanks to the marked route from Skole to the waterfall (the distance from Skole, depending on the starting point, is 7-10 km (exactly 10 km from the train station)), you won’t have to wander in search of the Kamianets Waterfall.
Not far from the waterfall, there is another well-known and frequently visited tourist site – the unique and, at the same time, mysterious Dead or Crane Lake.
