Cathedral of the Descent of the Holy Spirit, Rakhiv

The three-domed church with a solemn main façade was built on the main square of Rakhiv from 1991 to 1993 according to the design of Rakhiv architect Mykhailo Kravchuk.

The construction work was led by Ivan Herblich, and among the main assistants were the masters Pukman and Hreniuk. The construction was supervised by priest Mykhailo Krychfalushii, who still serves in the church today. The main monetary donations for the construction came from the district council, the cardboard factory and the Condenser plant, the Velyky Bychkiv cannery, and the residents of Rakhiv. The iconostasis was carved by Petro Dubchuk. Local artist Mykhailo Vorokhta contributed to the exterior of the church, and the wall paintings inside the church were done by Ivan Andrishko from Pryborzhavske in 1996-1997.
