Wisła: Soszów and Skolnity ski areas
Wisła is a resort town in the Silesian Beskids near the source of the river of the same name, best known for ski jumping. In winter several small ski areas run by different owners operate here. This page covers the two with current data: Soszów, the largest ski area in town, run by Wisła Ski Arena, and Skolnity from the Grupa Pingwina network right in the centre. Soszów lies in the Jawornik valley: one kilometre before the centre of Wisła you turn right into the valley. Skolnity opened on 9 January 2015 on the north-eastern slope of Skolnity hill (762 m); its top station at 660 m is the so-called “roof of Wisła” with a view over the whole town. Another small area with a chairlift operates on the slopes of Stożek Wielki.
Runs and lifts
Soszów. The main lift is the 4-seat H0 chairlift, 815 m long; it is complemented by the 2-person H1 T-bar (600 m), the H4 platter lift (200 m) and the H3 rope tow (130 m). The six runs total over 6 km: a red 900 m, blues of 1,300 m, 1,900 m and 690 m, a red-blue 1,200 m and a short black 200 m. The area offers evening skiing and, on selected Fridays, night skiing.
Skolnity. A 4-seat Leitner chairlift, 800 m long, climbs 205 m; the chairs have Kid-stop child restraints. Two runs wind through the forest: a blue family run (1,100 m) and a red intermediate run (980 m), both floodlit and with snowmaking. By the bottom station is the “Penguin Meadow” with a 70 m conveyor for learning, a sledging area and a snow-tubing lane.
Season and ski passes
The season usually lasts from December to March, snow permitting. Skolnity has already published its 2026/27 prices (valid from 1 September 2026): an adult day pass until 15:00 costs 180 PLN, a full day including evening skiing until 21:00 205 PLN, and a 4-hour evening pass 140 PLN; the slopes are groomed between 15:00 and 17:00. Since the 2021/22 season Skolnity has not been part of the joint Wiślański Skipass. Soszów’s 2025/26 price list was: 4 hours 115 PLN, 6 hours 135 PLN, evening 17:00–21:00 110 PLN, and the Wiślański Skipass day pass, valid at several areas in town, 170 PLN. Parking at both areas is free: 600 cars at Soszów and over 300 at Skolnity. Prices as of October 2026 – check the official websites.
Who it suits
Wisła is a good choice for families and learners: short lifts, blue runs, evening skiing and training areas. Soszów has the Nartus ski school, equipment rental and service; Skolnity has a ski school, rental and a winter school for children. Experienced skiers looking for longer descents should combine Wisła with the neighbouring resorts of Szczyrk or Ustroń.
